I’m In a Hurry

You can’t always prep delicious Keto Snacks, but that’s no excuse to stop at your nearest gas station and pick up a pack of Twinkies! In the western world, we live an increasingly rushed style of life. This “get it done yesterday” way of thinking has played a large part in the diminishing quality of our diets.

Unhealthy foods are often loaded with preservatives and shoved on shelves for the masses who don’t have time to prepare better quality food.

This can make the Keto diet hard for anyone whose schedule asks a lot of them. This is why we enjoy helping you find ways to hack the diet without falling out of Ketosis! The following Keto snacks will hold you over until you can find something of substance:

Beef Jerky

Beef Jerky is great for when you’re on the go, and it’s often a good source of protein. But eater beware, some jerky brands are loaded with carbs!

Our Suggestion

  • One bag of Jack Link’s Original jerky contains only 2 g of carbs, which isn’t bad. And the fact that this is the most ubiquitous brand of beef jerky makes it an easy choice for a quick Keto snack.

Pork Rinds

They’re salty, crunchy, and made from the skin of pigs. We’re of course speaking of the delicious zero carb snack: Pork Rinds. When comparing them to the average Potato Chip, Pork Rinds possess nine times the protein and nine times less fat. Wow!

So when you get weird looks as you chomp down on a Pork Rind and tell someone you’re on a diet, you can now defend yourself with confidence!

Our Suggestion

Chomp away, and feel no shame!

Quest Bars

Protein Bars are in vogue as the “health nut’s” snack of choice. But many of these “healthy” bars are just as bad as a candy bar! But they bring a massive benefit when you’re on the go and you need a snack that you can eat fast and keep moving.

In terms of Keto snacks, we’ve scanned through numerous brands and believe we’ve found the ideal protein bar for your Keto snacking needs. The Quest Bar offers great flavor with a huge shot of protein and most of the carbs made up of dietary fiber!

Quest Nutrition pride themselves on the fact that they have little to no sugar in their bars, which is more than what a lot of other protein bar brands can say about themselves.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing my Chicken Lettuce Wrap recipe. It’s so popular on Skinny Kitchen. I hope you all enjoy it too!
    All the best,

  2. Nate, as I transition into this new lifestyle, I have been wondering about snack options. The psychological aspect aside, as you mentioned above, the will be times when I just won’t have the time to prepare something. And in all seriousness, I’m wondering if carrying around a small bottle of olive oil in my car might be a useful option to get one through a pinch. I mean, since keto dieting uses fat for the primary fuel source, it seems like it might be one (rather boring) way to keep from getting pooped out mid way through a busy day. Or am I wrong? I’ve also read that keto dieting has the benefit of enabling one to go a day or more without crashing from hunger. I suppose at the end of the day, it’s different for everyone. I just know I dont want to find myself standing in front of the rack of sweetened junk at the corner store, asking “Okay. Now what?”

    Your thoughts?

  3. Thank you so much for your post! I was about to lose a battle to some snacks and I just decided to find alternatives instead and came across your article. I can’t wait to make batches of these
